For what it’s worth, I recently left a PT Sup position that started at $15.60 / hr whereas Package Handlers started at around $10.00 / hr.
PT Sups had a guarantee of 27.5 hours per week but in reality end up working an easy 30-35 and plenty of more hours if I wanted them.
Yea thats pretty much how much part time sups make starting…. ten years later im making a whopping $16.75 I have no idea why anyone would become a part time supervisor in these days yea its more money an hour but in the long term it’s not worth it I learned the hard way I was young 18yrs old didn’t know any better. Medical alone is the reason to stay union I pay $2500 in medical if your a smoker they deduct an extra $1800 a year from our salary. Short term a year or two its ok , long term think about it, especially if you have a family I wouldn’t do it again. Just my experience
I’m sorry but as a supervisor you would make a lot more than $14 an hour. I’m just a grunt and I started at $12/hr. I’m pretty sure sups make between 45-50k
I am also a local sort supervisor, and get the same salary. Full-time supervisors get paid between $45k-$60k. However, I only put in about 5.25 hours a night except for peak of course. But I give all the credit to my guys. They work hard and do a great job!
You will get different responses to these questions depending on what location the UPS facility is located. Not all UPS part-time supervisors will answer the questions this way.
